Gomis on the Move?

Media reports have today suggested that Rangers boss Walter Smith is set to make moves to sign Midfielder Morgaro Gomis.

The former Chelsea youth player has been in fine form for United over the past season and Smith is set to test Uniteds resolve with a seven figure sum.

The question is, with the player brought to the club for a nominal fee, will United be able to turn down such a profit?

Dependant on the fee, which I would say is likely to be in the region of £1m, it is a bit of a tough decision.

In my view, he would be better off staying put. He clearly is a talented player and a step above United. Another season or two at United and, providing he keeps up the level of performance, he could easily walk into a decent team down south.

So time to turn down any advances from Rangers methinks.

Any thoughts?
